THE NEW ROAD

The new road is shown, snow packed and well plowed, in late February. It runs past the Rehearsal Center and the Maintenance Shop and leads to the Faculty Dorm. All three buildings are now enclosed, dry walled, and finish work is underway.

CUPOLA INSIDE THE REHEARSAL FACILITY

The cupola atop the Rehearsal Facility / Student Dorm is framed in by mid-morning before Thanksgiving.




Inside the Rehearsal Center, scaffolding rises to the top of ceiling, where windows, trim, and a fan are installed in the cupola. The lights have been installed, and cedar siding covers the walls around the top ring of windows.

Finish work is in progress in the large rehearsal hall. Steel support beams are about to be covered with cherrywood casements.


April 1, 2008

A wooden column is completed, as is the trim.


THE COVERED WALKWAY

The covered walkway now connects the new Rehearsal Center to the Dutton Concert Barn. Students and faculty will enter the barn through the doors to the Green Room, the practice room hallway, and the doorway in the concert area to the north of the stage.

STUDENT DORM

Washroom sinks are being installed in the student bathrooms. Tiling is completed on the walls and floors.

March 25, 2008

Storage area cabinets and a lighted vanity area are being installed in each of the 6 sleeping "pods" in the Student Dorm. Four students will share this area; their bunk beds are directly across from the cabiinets.
