Joey Tartell

Joey Tartell is a Professor of Music at the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University. He has played with Maynard Ferguson, the Smithsonian Jazz Masterworks Orchestra, the U.S. Army Field Band’s Jazz Ambassadors, the Woody Herman Orchestra, and the Glenn Miller Orchestra. He is a founding member of the trumpet ensemble Tromba Mundi, and regularly plays with big bands and orchestras around the country. He has taught at Birch Creek since 1997.
