Classical trumpeter Mary Elizabeth Bowden is a highly sought-after soloist, acclaimed for her “splendid, brilliant” playing (Gramophone) and “pure, refined, and warm” tone (American Record Guide). A Gold Medal Global Music Award Winner, Yamaha Performing Artist, and Opus Klassik Nominee, she champions new trumpet repertoire through innovative commissioning projects and award-winning albums. Her 2023/2024 season includes world premiere concertos, major debuts with orchestras such as the Austin Symphony, and a residency at the Isla Verde Bronces Festival in Argentina. Bowden, Assistant Professor at Shenandoah Conservatory, performs internationally with Seraph Brass and Chrysalis Chamber Players and has released two acclaimed solo recordings, Radiance and Rêverie.
