Nelsen Campbell

Nelsen Campbell comes from Provo, UT where he teaches at American Heritage School as their first Band Director. He works with 6-9th graders and loves helping young musicians in the beginning of their musical careers.
Outside of teaching at the school, Nelsen has his own studio of private students, he composes frequently for school ensembles and other bands, and he plays for various events around the state and country. Nelsen has been privileged to work with Dennis Mackrel, Doc Severinsen, Delfeayo Marsalis and others.
Nelsen also works as an adjunct faculty at Snow College in Utah, where he teaches jazz improvisation, private lessons, and directs jazz small groups.
This will be Nelsen’s 16th year Birch Creek where he started as a student, and will now attend in his 10th year as an instructor.
