Nora Frisk

Nora Frisk holds a bachelor of music degree in Viola Performance from the University of Illinois and a Master of Music degree in Viola Performance from the University of Wisconsin. She has been principal violist of the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra since 1987, and also performs as a contracted player with the Kalamazoo Symphony and Whiting Festival Orchestra and subs regularly with various other orchestras in the midwest area.
Frisk is a mentoring chamber music coach for the Fischoff Academy, a division of the Fischoff International Chamber Music Competition She was formally adjunct viola professor at Notre Dame University, St. Mary’s college and Valparaiso University and was the principal viola teacher at the Citadel School of Music and Dance. She also served as conductor and coach of the string orchestra at Purdue University Northwest and is the founding member of the “LaSte’ Duo”, a viola and steel drum ensemble. She enjoys a full private lesson studio and is a dedicated musician advocate.
