Birch Creek Music Performance Center Announces New Executive Director

EGG HARBOR, Wis. (December 9, 2024) – The Birch Creek Music Performance Center Board of Trustees is thrilled to announce the appointment of Jenna Ferdon as its next Executive Director. This announcement marks an exciting new chapter in Birch Creek’s distinguished history as a premier institution for music education and performance.

Ms. Ferdon brings a wealth of experience, passion, and dedication to Birch Creek. She initially experienced Birch Creek as a student and has served as a teaching assistant in the symphony session. With a proven track record of leadership as teacher, manager and director, Jenna has demonstrated a deep commitment to music education, performance excellence, and community engagement. Her vision aligns seamlessly with Birch Creek’s mission to nurture and inspire musicians while delivering world-class performances to our audiences.

“We are delighted to welcome Jenna as our new Executive Director,” said Steve Gomoll, Board President of Birch Creek Music Performance Center. “Jenna shares our dedication to music education and performance excellence. She is eager to work closely with staff, program directors, and members of the board – to sustain Birch Creek’s vision, mission, and core values. Her leadership style, rooted in collaboration and inclusivity, will ensure all voices are heard as we work together to build upon Birch Creek’s incredible legacy.”

The transition coincides with Birch Creek’s celebration of its 50th season in 2025, a milestone that underscores the organization’s enduring impact. Outgoing Executive Director Mona Christensen who has led Birch Creek with distinction for the past ten years, will work closely as Executive Director Emeritus, with Ms. Ferdon in the coming months to ensure a seamless transition.

“I am honored to join Birch Creek Music Performance Center as its next Executive Director,” said Ms. Ferdon. “Birch Creek’s mission, dedicated community, and tradition of excellence inspire me. I look forward to collaborating with the talented staff, faculty, and board to guide this remarkable organization into its next chapter, especially as we prepare to celebrate its 50th season.”

To formally welcome Ms. Ferdon, Birch Creek will introduce her at the February 15, 2025 Valentine’s Day concert in Juniper Hall which kicks off the 50th Season Celebration. Later this spring, there will be other opportunities for the community, donors, and Birch Creek supporters to attend and connect with her as she steps into her new leadership role.
