On Friday, September 20, Birch Creek hosted its annual Artists in the Schools event, continuing a 22-year tradition of bringing professional music education to the students of Door County. Since its inception in 2002, this program has exemplified Birch Creek’s dedication to supporting local youth and fostering an appreciation for the arts within the community.

Birch Creek announces its highly anticipated 2024 Fall Concert Series, showcasing a diverse array of musical genres. This year’s concert dates include six remarkable concerts and Birch Creek’s annual fundraiser featuring a Spyro Gyra Tribute, sponsored by the Associates Volunteers. The world-class faculty performing artists of Birch Creek and guest performers return for Saturday evening concerts that are not to be missed.

Birch Creek Music Performance Center is thrilled to present an exhilarating series of jazz concerts this summer. Beginning on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, and continuing through early August, the Birch Creek Jazz Faculty Orchestra will dazzle audiences with their chemistry, charisma, and exceptional musicianship. These nationally and internationally acclaimed musicians will perform with talented Jazz I and Jazz II student combos, who will start each evening with pre-concert music in the Kane Gazebo, followed by student big band jazz ensembles in the Dutton Concert Barn.

Birch Creek Music Performance Center is excited to unveil the much-anticipated 2024 season of the summer Jazz Ambassador concerts. This series will spotlight the exceptional Birch Creek Jazz Ambassadors, a group of talented jazz students, who will perform at various venues throughout Door County from mid-July to mid-August.

Birch Creek Music Performance Center is set to celebrate Independence Day with a spectacular concert, "A Birch Creek Symphonic Fourth," on Thursday, July 4. The 90-piece Birch Creek Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Taka Matsunaga and featuring tenor and former Birch Creek student Jonathan Zeng, will perform patriotic tunes by John Phillip Sousa, along with works by Rodgers and Hammerstein. The concert begins at 3:00 PM, preceded by a pie and ice cream social at 2:00 PM.

On Thursday, June 20, Birch Creek Music Performance Center will present its opening night concert – “Percussion at the Disco: I just want to celebrate the 70s!” – on the Stage of Stars inside the historic Dutton Concert Barn. Opening night at Birch Creek is a festive gathering of donors, faculty, students, concertgoers, volunteers and businesses celebrating the much-anticipated 2024 season of Percussion, Steel Pan & World Music; Symphony and Big Band Jazz concerts. This year marks Birch Creek’s 49th season of excellence in music education and world-class concert performances.
